Carl Dean Veal

Carl Dean Veal, 79, of Sandoval passed away Sunday, September 7, 2025, at his home. He was born on January 28, 1946, in Vernon, the son of Roy and Sarah (Watkins) Veal. He married Ruby Johnson, and she survives in Sandoval.

Along with his devoted wife, Ruby Veal, survivors include his children, Duane Veal and wife Becky of Centralia, Marsha Fraily of Vandalia, and Bonnie Veal of WY; brothers, Chuck Veal of Peoria, and Don Veal of Metamora; sisters, Wanda Hendrix of Centralia, and Patty Veal of Centralia.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents.

Carl was a man of great faith, and a member of the Apostolic Church in Salem. He enjoyed his quiet time, reading the Bible and was grateful for God’s redeeming presence in his life. Carl was a good provider and protector for his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at Farmer’s Cemetery in Shobonier.
