Charles Eugene Allison Sr., 58, of Salem, Illinois passed away Sunday, January 24, 2021 in Daytona, Florida. He was born on April 12, 1962 the son of Richard and Virginia (Norris) Allison in Herrin, Illinois He married the love of his life, Wilma Eagan on June 30, 1988 in Kentucky and she survives him in Salem.
Along with his beloved wife of 32 years, Wilma Allison, survivors include his devoted children, son, William Eagan and special friend Katie Herman of Junction City, Illinois, daughter, Veda Eagan of Salem, Illinois, son, Charles Allison, Jr. and wife KaRissa of Salem, Illinois, daughter, Autumn Allison and special friend Thomas Hobbs III of Salem, Illinois; precious grandchildren, William Eagan, Jr., Aaron Reeves, Jr., Charles Allison III, Adam Eagan, Ayden Eagan, Alexander Eagan, Trevyn Morton, Kaylyn Morton, Kendin Thompson, Gabriel Bryan, Quinlyn Allison, and Isabella Allison; caring siblings, Jimmy Allison of Salem, Illinois, Mike Allison, Sr. of Centralia, Illinois, and Linda Allison-Feldman of Centralia, Illinois, uncle Ronnie Norris of Marion, kind sister-in-law, Patricia Eagan of Salem, Illinois; as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Charles was preceded in death by both his parents, Richard and Virginia (Norris) Allison; his brother, Richards “Spuds” Allison; his grandson, Angel Eagan; Godson, Robert Roper.
Charles was a protective family man that always put his family’s needs before his own. He was not a stranger to hard work and owned his own business where quality work was his priority. Charles was an avid sport enthusiast and enjoyed watching his favorite teams win. His family was of most importance to Charles and he tried to never miss any game his children or grandchildren played in. He was his family’s biggest fan and supporter in all aspects of their lives. Charles leaves behind so many amazing memories of good times shared with those he loved and he will never be forgotten.
Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia is privileged to be assisting the family of Charles Allison Sr. with arrangements. A celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia with Raquel Altom officiating. A visitation time to offer condolences to the family will be held from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service on Tuesday at the funeral home where those in attendance will be asked to wear a mask. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Charles’ honor to Shriners Hospital for Children.
