Donna Jean (Mays) McLellan

Donna Jean McLellan, age 67, of Centralia, Illinois, passed away unexpectedly at 10:27 A.M. on Monday, January 29, 2024, at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mount Vernon, Illinois.

She was born on July 18, 1956, in Bloomington, Illinois, the daughter of  Vera Marcella Mays.                                                

Donna is  survived by her loving family; daughter, Melissa Adams and husband Brian of Carbondale, Illinois; grandchildren, Billy Jack Williams of Centralia, Illinois, Kevin Olivier and wife Sara of Edgewood, Texas,  Tori Johnson and husband Connor of Edgewood, Texas, and Dillon Adams of Nashville, Illinois; great-grandchildren, Chloe Williams, Wyatt Stokes Williams, Arianna Williams, Roselynne Johnson, and Ophielia Olivier; brothers, Randall “Scotty” Schiming and wife Mary of Ruskin, Florida and Ronald Schiming of Miami, Florida; sister-in-law, Diane Schiming of Madisonville, Kentucky; and niece, Jamie Irwin and husband Brent of Evansville, Indiana.

Donna was preceded in death by her mother, Vera Marcella Mays.

Donna was very family orientated and cherished the time she spent with them.  She truly enjoyed traveling and loved being on the beach and out in the sunshine.   Donna was an adventurer in her own way and was a gypsy in many ways.  She was loved by her family and friends.  Donna lived in Centralia, Illinois for most of her life.

A Memorial Gathering of Family and Friends of Mrs. Donna Jean McLellan will be held from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at Moran Queen-Boggs Funeral Home in Centralia, Illinois.  A Memorial Benefit will be held from 11:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Arizona Joe’s at 1435 South Hickory Street in Centralia, Illinois.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested in Mrs. McLellan’s memory and will be received at the Moran Queen-Boggs Funeral Home at 134 South Elm Street in Centralia, Illinois.  Please view the online obituary, send condolences or share memories with Mrs. McLellan’s family at www.moranfuneralhome.net.
