Eric Michael Miranda

Eric Michael Miranda, 35, of Centralia passed away Thursday, February 1, 2024. He was born on January 25, 1989, the son of Daniel Miranda and Misti Brashear-Finney in Centralia. He was engaged to be married to his beloved, Amber Moore on April 13, 2024.

Survivors that will forever keep Eric’s memory alive in their hearts include the love of his life, his fiancée, Amber Moore of Centralia; his son, Spencer Moore; his father, Dan Miranda of Centralia; his mother, Misti (Keith) Brashear-Finney of Centralia; grandparents, Allen and Evelyn Brashear of Walnut Hill, and Terry and Janet Finney of Salem; his brothers, Nick (Sarah) Brashear, Zack Finney, and Damian Finney (Crystal Rolig); nieces and nephews, Gabriel, Lucas, Levi, Zoey, Madelyn, Cooper, and Paxten; his mother-in-law and father-in-law to be, Thomas and Janet Moore of Waterloo, IL.

Eric was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jose and Pat Miranda.

Eric attended Centralia High School, going on to receive his GED and furthering his education through Ultimate Medical Academy, where he was pursuing a degree in medical billing and coding. He was part of the direct support personnel at ResCare, and at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Breese, he prepared meals for patients. Eric also was able to comfort those going through dialysis while working as a tech for DaVita in Centralia. He will be remembered for his love of music, especially alternative music, and for the countless times he watched his favorite movie, The Nightmare Before Christmas. Eric knew his way around the kitchen and was quite famous for his mashed potatoes, Thanksgiving was not complete without them. When he wasn’t cooking, Eric looked forward to going out with his fiancée, Amber, and his son, Spencer, excited to try out new restaurants together. Eric’s memory will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

A celebration of life service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at the Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia with Chaplain Joannie Naraghi and Matthew Toussaint officiating. The burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Centralia. Friends and relatives are welcome to a visitation time from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday at the funeral home in Centralia. Memorials may be made in Eric’s honor to Irvin Macz Funeral Home to assist the family with expenses.
