Gary L. Adams, 72, of Centralia passed away Saturday, July 17, 2021, at his home in Centralia. He was born on May 17, 1949, the son of Lee and Jean (Jones) Adams.
Survivors include his son Gary (Samantha) Adams of North Carolina; daughter Stacey Adams of Salem; stepchildren Jeff (Tamie) Wooters of Centralia, Kristy (Curt) Henkel of Beckemeyer, Jody Wooters of Centralia, Kim (Chuck) Wooters of Junction City; 3 grandchildren Karissa Mitchell and husband Tyler of Odin, Lcpl Marcus Jones of California, and Landon Jones of Odin; 2 step-grandchildren Chase Wheeler of North Carolina, and Austin Wheeler of North Carolina; 1 great-grandchild Maverick Mitchell of Odin; and his special friend Janet Antonaccio of Centralia.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Ruth Ann Adams, and Jeannie Kleber; brother Billy Adams.
Gary worked as an over the road truck driver for Tune Trucking and Burks Trucking of Patoka. He was a member of the Patoka Masonic Lodge and a volunteer fireman for the Patoka Fire Department. He enjoyed time listening to his police scanner and talking with his friends on his CB radio, under his handle “Green Ghost”. Gary will be remembered as a protective family man, a hard worker and will be missed by all that knew him.
Day Macz Funeral Home in Patoka is privileged to be assisting the family with arrangements. A celebration of life service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 24, 2021, at the Day Macz Funeral Home in Patoka with Brother Claude Howell officiating. Interment will follow at Patoka City Cemetery. Friends are welcome from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 23, 2021, at Day Macz Funeral Home in Patoka.
