Janett Joyce Yocum

Janett Joyce Yocum, 89, of Centralia passed away on Friday, June, 25, 2021 surrounded by her devoted family at Fireside House of Centralia.  She was born on November 25, 1931 in Schulter, Oklahoma the daughter of Frank and Madonna (Russell) Richards. She married George Yocum in Mt. Vernon and they later divorced.

Janett leaves her loving memories to be cherished by, her daughters, Lisa Yocum of Centralia, Cindy Kracht and husband Barry of Centralia; grandchildren, Ben Kracht, and Keith Kracht; brother, Frank Richards, Jr. and wife Jeannine of Salem; sister, Jeanne Faith and husband Randy of Salem; sister-in-law, Carly Richards of San Diego, CA; nieces, nephews, and a host of extended family.

Janett is preceded in death by both her parents, Frank and Madonna Richards; brothers, Donald Richards, and Russell Richards; sister-in-law, Frances Richards. 

Janett was blessed with two daughters, Cindy and Lisa. She instilled the importance of family in them and loved to be the host of family occasions.  Janett was the one that brought everyone around the table.  She treasured the time spent with them and the rest of her family. She selflessly cared for everyone around her especially the residents that were like family to her at Murray Center.   Janett was a natural caregiver working at Murray Center for over 35 years as a registered nurse.  In her free time, she enjoyed reading. Janett loved to treat herself and her family to the treasures she would find while doing her favorite hobby, shopping.  The legacy Janett leaves behind will continue in all the people she cared for and loved.

Celebration of life services will be at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at the Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia with Pastor Karl Barnfield officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Rural Sandoval. Friends and relatives are invited to visiting hours from 12:00 P.M. to the time of service at the funeral home in Centralia. Memorial contributions in Janett’s honor may be made to the Salvation Army.
