Kenneth Edward Bierman, 87, of Centralia passed away peacefully Friday, July 25, 2025, at Nature Trail in Mt. Vernon. He was born on August 11, 1937, in Centralia, the son of Otmar and Iota (Bullard) Bierman. He married the love of his life, Carolyn Robnett on March 23, 1957, in Wamac, and she survives him in Centralia.
Along with his wife of 68 years, Kenneth is survived by his children, Chris Bierman of Centralia, and Terry Bierman of Centralia; four grandchildren, Joshua Bierman, Janique Teaff and husband Brandon, Terry Jr., and Brian Bierman; nine great-grandchildren Tegan, Liam, David, Codie, Cooper, Aubrie, Brian Jr., McKayla, and Gabriel; brother, Daniel Bierman and wife Mary of Houston, TX; and a host of extended family members and friends.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; and half-brother, Jim Bierman.
Kenneth was proud to serve in the United States Air Force, a member of the SAC, 587th Support Squadron, where Kenneth was part of the Air Police that guarded the planes and missiles. He was grateful for his comrades in arms and the lasting bond they shared. Kenneth was a wonderful provider for his family, working for the railroad after his time in the service. He was a fan of the game of baseball, looking forward to each season of Cardinal Nation, as he was one of the St. Louis Cardinals biggest fans. Kenneth enjoyed watching westerns, making sure his television was on when Gunsmoke aired. He shared many amazing memories with his family and friends, living his life to love and support each of them in any way he could. Kenneth was a proud veteran, a man of honor, loyal, generous and kind. As he has now entered his rest, his family will take comfort that his legacy will live on in each of them.
A celebration of life graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 28, 2025, at Sandoval City Cemetery. Military Rites will be accorded by the Centralia VFW Post 2055 and American Legion Post 446. Memorials may be made in Kenneth’s honor to American Heart Association and/or American Cancer Society.
