Linda was a faithful member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Sandoval and participated in the St. Monica Alter Society. She worked as a registered nurse for 45 years, giving the best of care to her patients, first at Opal’s Nursing Home in Odin for 32 years, where she shared an amazing bond with the owners Opal and Ethel. Opal was a wonderful mentor to Linda, giving her life lessons that equipped Linda to become the amazing nurse she was.
She then dedicated the remainder of her career to Odin Health and Rehab and was even asked to give a speech of honor at the nursing home’s ribbon cutting ceremony. Linda could not have had more love for her fellow friends at Odin Health and Rehab and she passed her work ethic on to her sons, Terry and Dennis as they grew up an honorary part of the nursing home’s team. She will be remembered as a loving, supportive mother who poured her everything into her family. Linda later called Odin Health and Rehab home and became a huge helper, an advocate for the other residents, and started a vegetable garden there growing fresh produce. She also was able to see her concrete project completed at Odin Healthcare. She was a Chicago Cubs fan who was beyond excited to see their long awaited 2016 World Series win. Linda attended St. Lawrence Catholic School where she participated in the choir from second grade and up. She had a gift of creativity, making ceramic nativity scenes that she gifted to grateful friends and family. Linda was kind, considerate, and gentle, always holding her family close to her heart. She will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
