Linda Wilson Obituary

Linda Ellen Wilson, 68, of Centralia passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis. She was born on February 7, 1956, the daughter of Philip J. and Rose Marie (Friedrich) Heyduck in Centralia. She married the love of her life, Larry S. Wilson on March 20, 1976, at the First Baptist Church in Centralia and he survives her in Centralia.

Along with her beloved husband, Larry Wilson, survivors include her sons, Chris Wilson, spouse Dana of St. Petersburg, Florida, and Loren Wilson, spouse Kim of Springfield, Illinois; grandchildren, Brian Horne, Kellen Wilson, Griffin Wilson, and Raurie Wilson; and dear friends, Dennis and Alice Krupp.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents.

Linda was a wonderful, kind, gentle spirit who had a smile that could light up a room. She was a loyal friend and looked forward to her twilight book club. Linda was skilled at playing computer games and liked to crochet as a way to relax. She was a diligent supporter of Centralia High School’s Marching Showcase and served in the parent’s association in the 1990’s. Linda was creative and made sure to support the arts in her community by being a part of the Centralia Cultural Society. She was appreciative of the company of her fur babies, her cats, Gabby and Willy and would spoil them any chance she could. Linda could not have been any prouder of her family and the times they spent making memories together were among her most cherished. Linda had the biggest heart, would do anything for anyone, and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 7, 2024, at the Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia with Pastor Rodger Randolph officiating.
