Martha Ann Bradford, 73, of Centralia passed away Saturday, May 13, 2023, at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia. She was born on December 25, 1949, the daughter of Clorse and Helen “Louise” (Worlds) Bradford in Centralia.
Survivors that will hold memories of Martha dear to their hearts include her son, Ronnie Bradford of Michigan; siblings, Rita McKinney and husband Thomas of Texas, and Jimmy Bradford of Centralia; uncles, John Worlds of Centralia, Amos Worlds of Mt. Vernon; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Clorse and Louise Bradford; brothers, Henry Spencer, Steven Bradford, and Mark BradfordSr.
Martha was a bright light and a loyal employee of SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia until her retirement. She loved animals, especially dogs, finding it hard to resist giving any dog she saw some attention. Martha was a true NFL football fan who loved to cheer on her favorite team the Kansas City Chiefs. She found wrestling entertaining and she liked the challenge of a good puzzle. Martha was the best great-aunt to her cherished great-nephew, Kingston, who brought her much joy and the two of them were best friends. Martha will be remembered for her generous heart, her beautiful, loving spirit, and the sunshine she brought to a room.
A celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 20, 2023, at the Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia with Rev Ronald Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Centralia. Relatives and friends are welcome to a visitation time from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home in Centralia. Memorials may be made in Martha’s honor to the Centralia Humane Society.
