Michael Stokes

Michael Todd Stokes, 32, of Centralia, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2026, at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mount Vernon. He was born on August 1, 1993, in Des Plaines, Illinois, to Todd and Toby (Weiner) Stokes.

Michael will be deeply missed by his loving family, including his father, Todd (Marianne) Stokes; his siblings, Jason (Evelyn) Stokes, and Nicole (Alexander) Keil; his aunts, Kelley Stokes, Judi Krokoskie, and Debbie Komar; his uncle, David Weiner; his cousins, Shawn Stokes, Maegen Stokes, and Adam Komar; his stepsisters, Tammy Slater, Melissa Sokolowski and his cherished niece and nephews, Skylynn, Phoenix, and Degan. He also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will forever hold his memory in their hearts.

He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Toby Roush; his stepfather, Vernon Roush; his paternal grandparents, Leonard and Rosalie Stokes; his maternal grandparents, Abraham and Carol Weiner. 

Michael’s life was a gift to those who knew him, and he will be remembered for the love he shared with his family and the special place he held in their lives.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and no public service will be held.
