Mike Frazier Obituary

Mike Frazier, 88, of Centralia passed away peacefully, Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Fireside House in Centralia. He was born on July 10, 1937, in
Centralia, the son of Duane M. and Hazel Imogene (Gent) Frazier.

Survivors that will remember Mike’s mischievous grin include his son, Darin S. (Julie) Frazier of Wichita, KS; daughters, Tara K. Frazier of Pensacola, FL, Melissa (Steve) Stafford of Junction City, Kentucky; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Jerry (Vickie) Frazier of Downers Grove; four nephews, a niece and cousins; dog, Peanut; and good friend, Anna.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Mr. Frazier served in the United States Navy as a radioman. Mike was the friendly face and welcoming hello to all on his mail routes, while working as a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service in Centralia for twenty five years, until his retirement. He was a proud, faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Centralia, where he shared his beautiful singing voice in the in the traveling Homecoming Gospel Choir. Mike was an extremely active member of his home church, serving in VBS, directing the church choir and custodian. He also kept the lawn immaculate for the church and enjoyed putting up encouraging words on the marquee for motorists passing by on Elm Street. Mike was definitely always at ease engaging in conversation with friends, family and strangers alike. Mike was an avid golfer, looking forward to golf leagues at Colonial Golf Course in Sandoval and winning two golden putters. He loved a good bowl of ice cream and taking Peanut for walks around the neighborhood, probably finding someone to chit chat with along the way. Mike loved his children, looking forward to visits with them grateful for the time to catch up. Not one to sit idlily by, Mike filled his days with purpose, hoping to lend a hand to someone in need and brighten their day with his positive energy.

A celebration of life service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 10, 2025, at the Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia with Pastor Eric Price officiating.
