Nicholas James Worley, 39, of Centralia, formerly of Sandoval passed away Thursday, August 19, 2021. He was born on August 4, 1982 the son of Theodore “Teddy” Lawrence Worley Sr and LaVena (Anderson) Worley in Centralia. He married Billie Jo Ricks, and one child was born of this union. They later divorced. Nick found love again and was engaged to be married to Brandi Gambill, who survives in Centralia.
Survivors to carry on Nick’s legacy include his mother, LaVena Worley of Sandoval; fiancée, Brandi Gambill of Sandoval; 9 children, Ethan Worley of Benld, IL, Ashley Haar, of Benld, IL, Kevin Haar of Panama City, FL, Addilee Worley of Centralia, IL, Wyatt Worley of Centralia, IL, Weston Worley of Centralia, IL, Braylee Callahan of Centralia, IL, Aubree Worley of Centralia, IL, Jaycee Callahan of Centralia, IL; 2 grandchildren, Alayla Cumberworth, Kyson Cumberworth; sister, Frieda Worley of Centralia; brother T.J. Worley and wife Caroline of Sandoval; host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends.
Nicholas was preceded in death by his father, Theodore “Teddy” Lawrence Worley Sr; daughter, Sydni Worley; sister, Margie Anderson; and a niece, Sheila Worley.
Nick was known for being a hard-working entrepreneur, always providing for his family. He would take his children to work with him at times knowing it was important to instill a hard work ethic in them. Nick was proud of being a “Daddy” and “Grandpa” most. He loved working side by side with his brother, T.J., especially on his hobby of building, fixing, and driving derby cars. Always willing to throw down a bet, Nick liked to gamble and joke with friends. Nick really enjoyed to fish with his family. He would sometimes swap his days catch with deer meat for himself to feast on. All children would migrate to Nick. He was a natural father figure to many, always taking anyone in that needed extra care or encouragement. He was loved and respected by his Drug Court Brothers, Casey Williams, Anthony Finkbone, “BOO” Derek Kirgan, “Bob” Robert Moulder, Jake Dillinger, and Steve Cook. Nicholas will be remembered for his infectious joyful personality and loyalty to his family and friends.
A celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at the Day Macz Funeral Home in Sandoval with Minister Art Dickerson officiating. Friends are welcome to a visitation time from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made in Nicholas’ honor to the Family’s Wishes to help with expenses. Day Macz Funeral Home in Centralia is honored to be assisting the family of Nicholas Worley with arrangements.
