Patty Ball Obituary

Patty Lorene Ball, 93, of Centralia passed away Sunday, March 31, 2024, at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia. She was born on July 16, 1930, the daughter of Corwin “Cub” and Naomi E. (Wilkinson) Pierson in Centralia. She married Morris D. Ball on July 8, 1958, and he preceded her in death on January 11, 2005.

Survivors include her son, Mark Christopher Ball and wife Wendy of Centralia; her daughters, Cydney Kay Ball of Shobonier, Terry Emery of Tennessee, and Sedia Black of Peoria; her precious grandchildren, Keith Christopher Ball, Ryan Todd Ball and wife Bobbie, Anthoiny Emery (Cathy), and Beth Ann Bent; several great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; her cousin, Sam Wilkinson; and special friend, Patty Maschoff of Centralia.

Along with her beloved husband, Morris Ball, she was preceded in death by her parents, Cub and Naomi Pierson; and her brother, Richard E. Pierson.

Patty was a lady of faith and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Centralia. Raising her family in Centralia, she loved caring for her home and her family, and was generous with her time. Patty was a proud wife to a hard-working railroader and did her best to support her husband from home. Patty, who was once called Maw Maw when her dearly loved grandchildren were small, will be remembered for the love and support she gave her grandkids over the years. Patty was hard working and kind and made sure to be an encouragement everywhere she went.
