Ranaldo “Ranny” Castellari, Sr. Obituary

Ranaldo “Ranny” Castellari, Sr., 78, of Centralia passed away Friday, March 5, 2021 at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia. He was born on October 3, 1942 the son of Leno and Mary Ann (Taylor) Castellari in Centralia. He married the love of his life, Karen Clark on December 2, 1967 in Centralia and she preceded him in death on February 25, 2015.

Ranny is survived by his beloved family, daughter, Ranna Lynn Castellari (Greg Boatright) of Centralia; son, Ranaldo Re “Rance” Castellari, Jr. (Elizabeth Blake) of Centralia; cherished grandchildren, Ranaldo Re “Ranny” Castellari, III, Reanna Re Castellari Cavender (John) of Mt. Vernon; and precious great-grandchildren, Harlow Cavender, and Hayven Cavender; nephew, Damian Castellari of Salem; and cousin, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Along with his wife of 47 years, Ranny was preceded in death by both his parents; siblings, Candance Ann Bundy, Jesse (Tony) Castallari; and niece, Jessica Lynn Telford.

Mr. Castellari was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Centralia. He was an amazing provider for his family and a loyal employee of both, Rockwell and the railroad until his retirement. In his free time, Ranny, who was a true St. Louis Cardinals fan, loved to watch his favorite team do their stuff. He stayed true to his “Birds”, even though his family cheered for the Cardinal’s arch enemy the Chicago Cubs. He was an athlete at heart himself, and enjoyed golfing, bowing, and softball. He was a friend to all animals and shared a special bond with his best friend, his dog, Thumper. Ranny was appreciative of his DaVita family that took such good care of him during his dialysis treatments for 10 years. He was an awesome PaPa to his grandchildren and they made many great memories together. Ranny’s memory will live on in the hearts of all those he knew and loved.
