Sherry Petrea

Sherry Petrea, 56, of Centralia passed away Friday, January 14, 2022, at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia. She was born on February 8, 1965, the daughter of Gale and Barbara (Sanders) Petrea in Centralia.

Survivors include her devoted mother, Barbara Petrea of Centralia; her brother Tommy Petrea, Sr. of Centralia; her nephew Tommy Petrea, Jr. of Odin; and her niece Ashton Petrea of Salem.

Sherry was preceded in death by her father, Gale Petrea.

Sherry was born and raised in Centralia, and she continued to call it her hometown all her life. She brought her welcoming smile and positive attitude to Kaskaskia Workshop where she was an asset to the work that was done there. She loved shopping trips to Wal-mart and doing word searches. Sherry most enjoyed time spent with her family, sharing good times with those she loved dearly.

A celebration of life service will be held by the family at a future date. Memorials may be made in Sherry’s honor to the Family’s Wishes and will be accepted for the family at the funeral home.
