Steve Sarchet

Steve Sarchet, 74, of Patoka passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at his home. He was born on September 30, 1948, the son of Paul and Betty Sarchet in Fayette County, IL. 

Survivors include his son Steve Sarchet and wife Jessica of Patoka, Star Christianson and husband Ashley of Salem; brothers, Brian Sarchet and Danny Sarchet; sisters, Sherry, Debbie, and Paulett Mason; 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, all special in their grandpa’s heart.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Betty Sarchet and two brothers, David and Brad.

Steve will be remembered by his family and friends as a man who loved his grandkids, as making memories with them was special to him. He loved to cook meals in the kitchen in which his family could enjoy. He may be remembered for always having a Busch Light handy, and for his old Milwaukee’s he could get any job done with. Steve loved his western television shows, and could enjoy his favorite snacks, especially candy, as he watched his favorite shows.
