VIlla Mae (Moore) Emery

Villa Mae Emery, 89, of Centralia passed away Thursday, December 23, 2021, at Fireside House in Centralia. She was born on February 11, 1931, the daughter of Nellie B. and Thecla Moore in Athens Alabama. She married Ellsworth D. Emery on October 7, 1963, in Alabama and he preceded her in death on October 5, 2021.

Survivors include her devoted family, sons: Scott Emery of Centralia, and Dane Emery of Centralia; brother: George Moore of Danville Al; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Emery was preceded in death by her Husband Ellsworth; parents Nellie B. and Thecla Moore; sisters Millinea Stinnett, and Willow Faye Moore; and brothers Edsel Moore, and Jimmy Moore.

Villa was a faithful member of Centralia’s Church of Christ. She was grateful to be a homemaker and to make a comfortable place to land for her family. She loved to work with her hands, keeping them busy with sewing and crocheting. She was a whizz at word puzzles and liked to relax while doing them. Villa was a sweet soul who would do anything for anybody and she will be deeply missed.

Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia is privileged to be assisting the family of Villa Mae Emery with arrangements. A celebration of life service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, December 30, 2021, at the Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia. Friends are welcome to a visitation time with the family from 6:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made in Villa’s honor to the Family’s Wishes.
