Whitney Marie Lawson-Williams,34, of Laveen Az gained her wings to be with the lord Sunday January 18th, 2026. Whitney was born on January 8th, 1992, in Phoenix Az. She is the daughter of Calvin Lawson Sr and Felisicia Lytle.
Whitney leaves behind her husband Melvin William and their two children Peyton and Logan Williams of Phoenix Az. Other family members left to hold her memory include her father Calvin Lawson Sr, Mothers Sheila Reed, Dana Lawson and Felisicia Lytle along with her stepdad Ronnie Reed. Lots of siblings including Mylesicia Lawson, Oretha Heard, Oneisha Heard, Brittany Lytle, Jovaughna Lawson, Precious Lawson, Ed Edmon, Aundre White, Jaylen and Jakaylen Scott-Lawson. Along with a ton of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other extended family members and friends. Whitney was preceded in death by her twins Amira and Amaya, brother Calvin Lawson jr. Grandparents Rolland and Veola Lawson. Grandmother Vera Mae Lytle. Aunt Karen Lytle. Uncles Doug and Jeffrey Lytle Uncles Darwin and Michael Lawson. Grandmother Shirley Wesson.
Whitney was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend who leaves behind a legacy of kindness, creativity, and service. An accomplished professional, she worked as a Program Manager at Google, where she was admired for her dedication, intelligence, and collaborative spirit. Her work reflected her deep care for people and her drive to make a positive impact. Outside of Whitney’s career, she lived a life rich with creativity and connection. She had a love for arts and crafts, often finding joy in painting on canvas and creating with her hands and using her voice as an instrument. An exceptional cook, Whitney was especially known for her homemade birria tacos, a dish that brought family and friends together and will be fondly remembered by all who shared her table. She stayed active, loved playing board games, and found happiness in simple moments filled with laughter and togetherness.
Whitney’s heart for service extended into the community through her work with the youth at Centralia Youth Center, where she served as a mentor and role model. At a young age Whitney showed a love for children being a leader in Sunday school and adopting so many children under her wing. Above all, she cherished spending time with her sons, who were the center of her world. Her love, warmth, and guidance will continue to live on through them and through the many lives she touched. Whitney will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her generous spirit, creative soul, and unwavering love for her family, friends and community.
