William Grimes Obituary
William Lee Grimes, 59, of Sandoval passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia. He was born on July 10, 1964, the son of Bobby Lee and Martha (Ditto) Grimes in Centralia.
Survivors include his children, Jennifer (Timothy) Senn of Alabama, Justin Grimes of Vandalia, Brandon Grimes of Iuka, and Caleb Grimes (Haylei Cline) of Iuka; grandchild, Aiden Senn of Alabama; mother, Martha Grimes of Centralia; and brothers, Jerry Grimes of St. Louis, and Jeffrey (Juanita) Grimes of Centralia.
William was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Grimes.
William was a faithful employee of Cambridge in Centralia. He enjoyed grilling and sharing a meal with family and friends. William loved to make homemade wine, and everyone looked forward to drinking his latest batch. He took his trips fishing seriously, making sure to bring home a big mess of fish after fishing from the dock or the rocks on shore. William kept a neat lawn and enjoyed time spent working in his yard. He was never at a loss for words, sharing conversations and stories and never meeting a stranger. William was generous, always ready to lend a helping hand. He will be deeply missed by all his family and friends.
A private graveside service will be held at Sandoval City Cemetery. Memorials may be made in William’s honor to the Family’s Wishes and will be accepted at the Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia.
